Boston Marathon - Lance Armstrong

Arguably the greatest cyclist of our generation puts it on the line on Heartbreak Hill of the Boston Marathon. It was very low key, no motorcycle camera, entourage, just gutting it out like everyone else.
The big picture.

After this, some real training for XC08, test rode the IF fresh from its checkout at the local bike shop. Forty One miles on a gourgeous spring day. From Newton, headed west and then north towards Lexington where I got tangled up in the Patriot Day parade! I was so focused on the marathon I forgot about the renactment of the battles in Lexington and Concord. I guess because I ride that way almost every time, its easy to forget that it isn't Marathon Day, it's Patriots Day! (Did I mention that the Sox won their traditional morning start on P-day!)
