XC08 - book share list

I had an idea while going over the packing list that might help us all. I like to read for relaxation, and even though I will fall asleep before turning a page, I want to be prepared. That being said, I'm only going to bring one paper back because I don't know how much reading I will get done and the darn things can weigh from half to close to a full pound.
So my idea is this, if we each brought a book to read, we would have a rolling lending library that even the most voracious reader wouldn't get through. Of course this would be voluntary.
If you want to have some idea of what books others are bringing and whether they are in on this idea, I will post this note on the blog I just created so my wife can follow along on our trip. http://ronvisionquest.blogspot.com/
Ciao Ron
PS - I took out my weight weenie fisherman scale and found that Pillars of Civilization by Ken Follett weighs a half pound. A more quality paperback, like
Blood and Thunder: The Epic Story of Kit Carson and the Conquest of the American West by Hampton Sides weighs close to a pound. By the way, Blood and Thunder is an excellent book that covers events in the American Southwestern area that we will be riding through.
