On the first climb out of Wickenburg, when we got into the switchbacks. My trusty IF. I added the flag after speaking with a UPS truck driver who gave very positive feedback about how visible it makes us. I promised him I would add it.
After the climb there was a descent into a pleasant valley with farms. Not so pleasantly named Skull Valley!

The final climb up to Prescott, now we are seeing the high desert. It's dry, but the altitude permits more diverse vegetation.More pictures from this ride in next post.
